Another Sunday Gone...

We are finally home after a long day. We go to Raceland each Sunday to be with the church people there. It is almost a two hour drive, but well worth it. There is only a small group there, but they are the most precious people. They have really stood by my family this past few months. It's good to have friends who you know will be there when things are rough. We went to a family's house for a small cookout and ate some dogs and burgers. That was fun, plus the fellowship was enjoyable. I wonder sometimes if we realize how important good fellowship is for us. Sometimes we need to just get with some folks and just be people together.
Anyway, today was a good day. God blessed in both our services and we had some more good fellowship with the folks after church.
Tomorrow I go to Irvine,KY with my mom, my sister and my two daughters to visit some family gravesites and see my uncle James, who is very sick with cancer. Please pray for him.
God bless...

Today...

I didn't do much of anything. I went back on the back end of the farm and fished a little bit. The fish were not cooperating. Perhaps next time will be better. The family and I went up to my wife's grandparents house ( on the other side of the farm) and several of my kids cousins were there. They love to just go wild. My two girls are definitely the "rough and tumble" type of girls. At days end they are the dirtiests of the gang, with their nightly baths leaving our bath tub full of dirt, sand, and who knows what else. It has been a nice, relaxing day. I'm thankful and feel very blessed.
God bless...

Hey, wait a minute...

I just noticed that my profile includes zodiac sign, and astrological sign. I hope to find out how to get that off of there. I don't toy with that stuff and would prefer not to have it on there. Anyhow, I just wanted to clarify that in the mean time.

Hello...

Hey there! It's me, Donnie. Donnie Estep. I thought it might be fun to try blogging. My wife kind of inspired me. She has been looking at some blogs of some of our friends, and it looks fun and somewhat easy. Anyway, it will give me a place to sort of just ramble from time to time and share some of my less ridiculous thoughts.
I will likely use this space occasionally to talk about things related to God and our relationship with him. I am a minister, a pastor in fact. I am currently watching over two very small congregations which are located about 120 miles apart. One is The Church of God in Raceland, KY. The other is located in Winchester, KY. Both are filled with wonderful Christian people who my family and I love very much.
Speaking of my family, they are the BEST. I have a gorgeous little wife, Marsha. She is the most incredible person to me and I am blessed to have her in my life. I also have two wonderful daughters, Haley and Taylor. One is six, the other one. They, too, are incredible. Gorgeous, too. I am truly in love with my family. We have been through a lot in the past several months but God has kept us through it all. He has used my wife and girls every day to give me strength and courage, and faith. They are such an inspiration to me.
We currently live in Richmond, which is my wife's hometown. I am working for Cintas Corporation. We are a uniform and facility services company, the largest in the U.S., in fact. I am a Sales and Service Representative. That is a fancy way to say "delivery driver". Mine is a very nasty, dirty job. Maybe someday I'll talk about the thing in detail. Anyway, it is making a living for my family, and I do enjoy the work. I get the chance to meet and get to know a wide range of people, which is great for me. I find people very fascinating. We are strange creatures, you know.
Anyway, that is enough for now. Now for those of you who did not know me before, you know me a little now. For my friends who see this, you are more or less up to date.
God bless you all...
Donnie
