Godd morning...
I'm just about to head out for another glorious day selling top quality Frozen food to the lucky residents of Winchester, KY. Seriously. It won't be a mormal long day. If possible I plan to quit tonight by 6 o'clock. That may not happen, but I expect it will.
Been spending a lot of extra time in prayer lately. Trying to study more...trying to really get in shape as a Christian and a minister. I feel like something is right around the corner that will be exciting for The Church of God, and even for me and my family. I have a feeling of expectation. God is ready, I believe to do something with us. We want to work more for Him than we are at present. I believe He is about to answer that prayer. Thank God. Please help us pray that His will be done in our lives. We want that more than anything. We want this unsettled feeling to go away and be replaced with the feeling that we are in God's will...that He is pleased with where we are and what we are doing.
Gotta run for now, but God bless you all...

Some pics of my girls...
Here are some pics of my beautiful family. Starting at the top...There is my mom and Haley. They are big buddies, as you can tell. Mom didn't feel well, but I was glad she came on to church anyway; Next is my good lookin' wife, Marsha Renee. I love her in that color. I love her in any color; There is Haley and Taylor. This one was mug shot practice for the ninja, I think. Kidding. There's one of Tay, followed by one of Hay, each with their little baskets huntin' for eggs; Finally there are the three loves of my life, after Christ, of course. As you can see, my life is filled with beautiful ladies. heh hehMy baby sister wasn't there that day but I'll get her on here soon. Dad, too. Not that he's a beautiful lady.

New Local Website
Brother Shane Wilcox, pastor of TCOG in Sturgis, KY and Brother Matt Wright, a local VLB and minister there, have been working on a new website for the local church. It is already available, but is still in constructiuon. It looks to be a great and useful website to boost the local and district area work. God bless Brother Shane and Brother Matt for the work they are doing to further the spreading of the Gospel.

General Overseer Visits Local Church in KY
On April 22, 2007 Bishop Stephen Smith and his wife, Sister Vickie Smith visited The Church of God in E'town, KY. Our local church in Winchester called off our local service to go and be with the wonderful E'town folks and the Smiths. It was a blessing to see both Brother and Sister Smith. They both have such a good spirit and seem to have a true heart to please the Lord.
Sister Smith blessed us with a song, and testimony. Brother Smith shared some things which are going on in the church and preached a great message about "A Boxed Canyon." He spoke of how it seems God will sometimes let us get into a situation where the only possible way out is to trust in Him. That is where we truly learn about "faith walking."
We used to pastor the E'town church so it is always a blessing to get to go and visit with them. We are trusting God to do some mighty things for them in the very near future. It is all in His hands. Amen.
May God bless the saints at E'twon, and may He continually watch over and bless our General Overseer Brother Smith and His family.
God bless...

Later that night...
So, this past weekend we went and got our girls a couple of kittens. I know. I generally hate cats. But a coworker had just become the not so thrilled owner of several kittens. So I thought."why not?"
They are adorable. Max, and Ruby. Ruby and Max. Ok, so that isn't funny if you have never seen that show. Great children's show. One of my personal favorites. It is about these two little bunnies, Bill and Maxine. Not really. But it is about these two bunnies, Ruby and her little brother Max. The show is cute and cuddly, but in a way terrifying. I have been watching it for nearly 6 years, since Haley was barely a year old. I have never, not one time seen their parents. I think they live alone! Ruby looks to be seven or eight, and Max is only two, but no mommy, and no daddy! Once in a while they get into a pinch and have to call Grandma over to give them a ride or a little money. Terrifying! But it is otherwise a great show. Anyways...
Haley was scared of the kittens at first. But not Taylor. The ninja knows no fear. She goes right over, chases one down and grabs it by the tail, neck, leg or whatever she can most easily get ahold of and proclaims "Look, I got it. I got the Katty. I got 'Wooby". " Haley has gotten over her intial fear. It didn't help that she was bitten the other day by some stray cat that has adopted the farm for his/her home. But now she has learned how to hold them, and does so constantly. Poor little things. After an afternoon of our two girls and three of their little girl cousins from around the other side of the farm, I fear they might die in the night of internal bleeding. (joke. No kittens or other animals were harmed in the making of this blog. I promise) But they were ready for bed time, to say the least. I'll see if I can get some pics on here some time. They really are cute.

Dark, but clear Monday evening...
Just for you, Sister Smith, I have decided to rejoin the living, so to speak for a few minutes. I have started to blog so many times lately, but have been let hitherto.
At any rate, it has been a very satisfying Monday off for me. Had a great conversation with a dear Sister this morning with whom I hadn't had a chance to visit in far too long. She has been away from The Church of God for a while, but is making her way back. She is a precious friend and a great lady. I am hoping to see her and her mother this Sunday morning. It is a bit of a distance for them but I feel like they will make it. It was a wonderful blessing to just talk with her. We did some catching up and talked about the Lord.
In some other good news, a family of four in the E'town area has returned to the church!! Praise God! I won't go into a lot of details, the main thing is they have returned. That's two back in the fold! They also have two kids who are wonderful youth camp aged kids. A precious family, and dear friends of our family. Thank God! I also have been told on pretty good authority that there are more on the way. Good news! Amen.
I believe more now than ever that God is about to do some great things in our region. We have had a struggle, but He is in control.
I was not able to attend, but I heard some great things about our Youth Convention a couple of weekends back. Sister Leandra Morris from E'town was in charge. She is a great young lady. I used to be her pastor, but I can take no credit for what a good person she is. She was raised right, and God has really blessed her. She is also our regional VLB coordinator. I so wish I could've been there so I could give a detailed report, but if what I hear is a true indication, it must've been power packed. Our locals who attended are still riding high from it. I keep hearing about a message preached by Brother Brian Odell about "Encouragement ,and Discouragement." Praise God.
Catch ya'll Later!!
