Icy Sunday Morning...let's catch up

Hey! I have been a bad, bad blogger for the last month. Sorry. I want to get back on track, so here is my opening attempt. I've been real busy, with job hunting and all. God has indeed opened a door for me, I believe. I will be starting a new job on February 2, 2007. I will now be a Schwan's man. I'll be selling for Schwan's home sales divivsion. I'm pretty excited about it. I've heard a lot of good things about the company, so I think it is a good move.
Today is Sunday, but we have had icy rain most of the night and morning. We were not able to have service this morning, but we plan to go this evening as the temp's are supposed to rise and the ice leave. I guess we are a lot better off than a lot of the country right now. Thank God! And God be with those who are currently snowed in and without power. Scary.
But, anyways...I'm getting ready to do some cooking. One of my favorite things...I got a small chicken in there waiting for some BBQ and the oven. Yum...
Yesterday we had a "Gleaner Rally" for the kids under twelve at our local church. There were 10 kids in attendance. It was great. Sister Phyllis Warriner, who is our regional Children's Ministry coordinator came up with her mother and two grandchildren. They were a blessiing. The kids sang some really cool songs we've been working on, and Sister Phyllis gave two different presentations of the gospel. She did so well, and even did some very clear, and I believe anointed teaching about Sanctification. It was a blessing to see all the kids in the altar. We also had pizza, and drinks for lunch. It was all paid for by funds the Gleaners have raised themselves through theier Gleaner Band Train change marches. They have been raising money to beautify the local church building for months, so this was a treat for them. They are a blessing to our local church.
That's all I have time to write for now, but check back soon. I hope to keep up better now.
God bless...
Brother Donnie

Hi,Brother Donnie. I'm hoping you'll make good on your promise to blog more consistently!

Schwann man, huh? My mother-in-law always insisted Schwann's only hired the best looking men! *grinning* She was sure it was a requirement of theirs. Schwann's makes the BEST biscuits! When we lived in Howard, CO we were 15 miles to the closest store and 100 miles to the closest large city. I bought some of my groceries from Schwanns in the summer time especially because it was hard to get home without frozen foods melting. Biscuits are my most favorite Schwann item (one of the CHEAPEST, too!).

I'll take a box of cheese rings, some curly fries, and a half gallon of Double Chocolate Mocha Fudge ice cream... unless they don't offer that flavor anymore, in which case I'll cancel the entire order. ;-)

The Gleaner Rally sounds like a big hit! That's terrific.

Hey, everybody. It's good to hear from you all. I'm pretty excited about the new job. My current job just ain't cutting it. I do love Schwanns ice cream. I've heard the other stuff is pretty good as well. I think, however, Sister Smith, that they have gotten rid of the "best looking men" rule. I think they got desperate this time. he heh.
