Great Times

That is what we've been having in this region for months! God has been blessing The Church of God region of IN/KY/OH/ILL South!! Starting last winter at the Christmas Banquet weekend, right on through District Conventions, then an outstanding Youth Convention! This year's Regional Convention, held in Elizabethtown, KY at the local church there was amazing! Every song, every message, every boost...just every moment was fantastic! We had all sort of limped into convention in '06, but not in '07. It was obvious that every one there had come for an Old Time Church of God Convention! God did not let us down! (Has He ever?) Brother Risch preached outstanding, as always. Brother Jernigan gave great, and timely instructions and encouragement. Sister Sharon Griffin preached what I fell may have been the most powerful message I've personally ever heard her preach. I've talked to others who agree. (Sis Sharon is always a blessing, but this was even above and beyond! Awesome!) Brother Bill Jordan preached great and he and Sister Joyce sang some great songs. The Smiths were there and were a blessing as well. It's been a while since a General Overseer has been able to visit with us in convention, so that was a real treat! Brother Warriner was inspiring as always. Sister Leandra Morris did a superb job...I'm rambling aren't I? Nah...just bubbling over with excitement about what is happening in our region. After all we've been through, we are ready to move forward and this excitement is just what is needed to give us the boost.
All that and I didn't even mention Youth Camp. Just awesome. I've been hearing some good reports from some who were there...young kids who are really living for Jesus now. It's incredible. To God be the Glory!
