...and I'm beat. I attended a meeting in Elizabethtown, KY last night. Brother and Sister Smith, and Brother Dupre were there. The General Overseer and Field Secretary came to speak with the ministers and members of our area concerning the situation in the region. It went pretty good, overall.
Anyway, enough about that for now. I think I'll post light hearted tonight. lol.
I didn't get home until after 2 am this morning. In bed after 3. Laid there thniking, unable to get to sleep 'til 4 something...oh, yeah...light hearted. Anyway, I slept in today. Highly unusual. Went outside around 10-ish to do some yard cleanup and a l;ittle bit of weed eating. My garden and flowers have been so neglected this year. I was sick so much of the spring and summer, not to mention preoccupied...uh, in a light hearted sort of way.
I managed to clean off and wash down the front porch of our house, and sprayed down the vinyl siding. Later in the year I'll get some vinyl cleaner and really wash it down. Cleaned my charcoal grill. Swept the walk. Pretty productive couple of hours. Then I came in and decided to pitch in and do some laundry. Marsha has been working so hard. She is such a good wife. I wanted to try and help a little.
Tonight we went on a "family date". We all four got in the van and went to and old style drive-in restaurant. Like Sonic, only an original, locally owned one with the real old timey atmosphere, and the best burgers, fries, tater tots, and onion rings around, honest. The Parkette. Tonight, they were having an Classic Car Cruise In. Itwas fun to look at the old cars. I love the classics. Then I went and bought two new suits for the Assembly. Enjoyable night all around. I love to be with my girls. BTW, the little one tore up jack in the S and K suits store tonight. I don't know what came over her, but she had a short spell of complete rambunctiousness.(huh?) She had a big day. Her Mamaw Jpy took her to the park to feed the ducks. I don't know what all she got in to, but I know that she came home in different clothes than she left in, and her mamaw washed the original clothes. I didn't bother to ask.
Well...gotta go. God bless you...

Sounds like your day was very...lighthearted. Good to hear. lol Prayers 4 You,

Are you recuperated from last weekend's activities? I'm almost back to my normal tiredness, having recovered from the EXTREME tiredness this past weekend caused. I hope to get in shape before the Assembly so I can enjoy it to the fullest. I look forward to seeing you guys there.
I've been exhausted, too, even though I wasn't directly involved in the "activities" this past weekend. You know, kind of like those weird guys who experience morning sickness when their wives are pregnant? That's me--I'm worn out with you!
We, too, look forward to seeing you at the Assembly and we're trusting we'll enjoy it greatly! There's a certain moment I'm REALLY looking forward to...at about 2:55 Thursday Afternoon, right, Mom?! ;-)
I am so exhausted! I've been getting up extra early this week so I can get to work earlier, and get home earlier and have moer family time in the afternoons and evenings. Unfortunately, I'm not bright enough to get in bed mush earlier. I need sleep. But, we have been having wonderful services, both Sunday and tonight. There was such a special time of worship near the end of tonight's service...just an awesome, weeping spirit. I love it when the Lord moves on the entire congregation that way, it is just such a sweet spirit.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you folks at Assembly, as well. I have always, since childhood considered the GA to be the highlioght of my year. Even though we're in troublesome waters this year, we have been before, and sometimes it seems that God makes an even more special move for us when we are all going through something. I'm praying for an awesome Assembly.
God bless you all...
Brother Donnie
Hope you don't mind. So far your name has been suggested by myself and someone else for two separate jobs at the assembly. One is playing bass on stage, another is video-recording somebody else playing bass on stage from the comfortable stool behind the video camera. lol You can turn them down if you really want to....i think.
Okay, buster, it's been a FULL WEEK! Buck up and get a new post here. You're disappointing your many blog fans. (AMEN! to Becki's comment about the most anticipated moment of the Assembly)
I know, I know...I need to get some new posts up. I will tomorrow...
Hey, Dustin... I'd love to help on those things...let me know if your suggestion actually gets me a job.
Oh, and Sister Smith...I will post soon, I promise.
God bless you all...
Brother Donnie
